Buffalo Diocesan Boys
This year's tournament was once again another thrilling battle to the finish! Congratulations goes out to St. Andrews (1) for taking home this year's title in another truly close match that was anyones till the final outcome. St. Peter & Paul (A) took the first game fairly handily and then St. Andrews (1) stormed back to take the second game of the set.
This pushed this year's final into the third and decisive game for the second year in a row and it was well fought as St. Andrews had a lead of 14-11 when St. Peter & Paul came back and tied the game at 14! St. Andrews then took the final two points to win the game 16-14 in a thrilling finish.
In the Semi-Finals, St. Andrews battled to win both games against St. Mary's who were up in both games only to eventually loose them both although the scores were close. St. Andrew's powerful hitting was the deciding factor in both. St. Andrews (2) battled St. Peter & Paul in the other semi-final match and lost that one also in 2 games to set up the finals between St. Peter & Paul (1), last year's league champions and St. Andrews (1).
